Post Commander's Message

Greetings Comrades and Sisters,

We are deep into winter and had a great Mid-Winter Round Up. I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend and participate at Mid-Winter. Each of these events furthers our knowledge and enables us to do what is best for veterans.

We have a full calendar of Birthdays, Meetings, Holidays and Fun. We start with our Super Bowl Party on the 5th, Post Meeting on the 14th, Presidents Day on the 20th, Bingo on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday with Karaoke on Friday.

We continue to be a great part of this community and in supporting of others to include the many volunteer hours that some of you put in at the VA in Temple and at Ft. Hood supporting Veterans. Being part of the VFW means supporting the community we live so that others will see by our example and someday serve in the military as we have.

We want to welcome our new members to the Post please introduce yourself to them and welcome them. I encourage our new members to come and participate in the many activities at the Post this month, there is something for everyone. Please get out there and recruit new members and remember there is a special this month for new members.

Hope to see everyone at our next meeting on the 14th of February at 19:00 hrs. or earlier for the VPR at 18:50 hrs. Thank you all again for your hard work and assistance in all we do here at VFW Post 4008.

Yours in Comradeship
