Post Commander’s Message

Greetings Comrades and Sisters

Spring is here and I hope everyone got out on Election Day. We have met a commitment to serving our country and so we should again meet our commitment to vote for the leaders of our community and the leader of that same country that we all love.

We too will start our election process at the Post so come out to the next meeting and take part and run for an office and/or join in the many activities this month has to offer. See the calendar for more events throughout the month and if you missed any of these events you can see some pictures on posted on the Post Web Site or Post Face Book Page.

We continue to be a great part of this community and in supporting of others to include the many volunteer hours that some of you put in at the VA in Temple. Being part of the VFW means supporting the community we live so that others will see by our example and someday serve in the military as we have.

We want to welcome our many new members to the Post. Please welcome our new members and introduce yourself to them. I encourage you to come and participate in the many activities at the Post there is something for everyone.

Hope to see everyone at our next meeting on the 8th of March at 19:00 hrs. Thank you all for your hard work and assistance in all we do here at VFW Post 4008.

Yours in Comradeship

 Roger L. DeWeese
