POST VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE

Meets monthly on the Monday before Post Meeting at 6:15 pm

Post 4008 Ways & Means Committee oversees all aspects of Post 4008 and its committees. 

BINGO COMMITTEE

Contact Sr-Vice Commander: Tony Winkler

The Bingo Committee ensures that Post 4008 Bingo is being performed under the proper guidelines and oversees the employees who work the Bingo activities.  They are also responsible for any player discrepancies that may happen as well as roaming security during each play session.

BUDDY POPPY COMMITTEE

Contact Jr-Vice Commander: Selene Sullivan

Provide opportunities for Volunteers to bring awareness to the National VFW Buddy Poppy Program.  This committee also works with the community at large to provide opportunities for Volunteers to hand out Buddy Poppy's and share the history of the Buddy Poppy and the VFW.

HOUSE COMMITTEE

Contact Committee Chair: Troy Ameigh 

The Post 4008 House Committee is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the Canteen and Kitchen, including their daily operations and staffing. This encompasses supervision of Post Employees as well as the administration of any disciplinary actions required within the Canteen. The Committee also oversees all building maintenance and capital improvement matters, conducting annual inspections and presenting identified needs to the Membership for approval, along with oversight of the Entertainment and Social Memberships associated with the Cantina. In addition, the Committee functions as an advisory body to the Membership, providing guidance on proposed Post changes, applicable legal requirements, and any special circumstances that may arise.

COMMUNITY & MILITARY ASSITANCE COMMITTEE

Contact Committee Chair: David Carr 

The Community & Military Assistance Committee works with community and military leaders to identify any potential areas that may need assistance,  They inform members what the community and military needs and inturn informs the leaders what support we can offer. 

SCOUTING COMMITTEE

Contact QuarterMaster: Kevin Davis

The Scouting Committee works with the sponsored Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops that meet at Post 4008.  They also report the needs and activities of the Scouts to the Membership at the monthly meeting.

Meets 1st Saturday of Every Month - 10:00 am

​The Motorcycle Group Committee is to actively promote and support the programs of the VFW, to promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for VFW and Auxiliary Members who share a like interest in Motorcycle riding.  The MG also reports to the membership of all fundraising and camaraderie activities that are organized.
